It can accommodate up to 30 seating configurations, and has a built-in ride-on for older kids who prefer walking, and a 'cinema seating' mode which raises the back seat to improve visibility.

Alternately, the phil&teds dots is a brilliant single buggy that is available from day one that is able to easily be adapted to take 2 (or 3 wheeler pushchair!) in various configurations. This is particularly helpful if you have an infant in a car seat because the frame can be fitted with a wedgie that allows for optimal lie-flat positioning, or car seat adapters to various brands.

Suspension

The suspension of a double 3-wheel buggy will determine the ease with which you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is vital because babies feel every bump on the road, particularly if it's on rough terrain such as grass or unpaved paths. Some models also have locking front wheels to assist with maneuvering and getting over obstacles such as curbs.

Some models use air-filled tyres that give you a great all-terrain ride, but can be susceptible to punctures, so make sure you have spares in the trunk. Some models have gel or foam tyres that are designed to withstand bumps and can be less prone to punctures, but you might feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back should you choose to jog.
