The only problem is that it does not offer the same level customisation as other bean-to-cup machines that we have tried. Its pump has 15 bars instead of the standard 19 bars. The Barista TS Smart is a fantastic bean-to-cup machine that has many features that help it stand apart from the rest. Its most distinctive feature could be the fact that it is able to be controlled by your smartphone via the Melitta Connect App. This allows you to change settings and even dispense various coffee recipes that are stored in the machine itself.

This makes the machine very flexible and adaptable to suit your preferences. There are plenty of options for varying the strength of your drinks as well as various sizes of cups and whether or not you want to add milk. The machine also comes with two airtight bean containers that are automatically sorted for different types of coffee. The machine will default to using standard espresso beans and cafe creme, a German variation of flat white or long black. However, you are able to choose any beans you like. There's also a handy chute for pre-ground coffee in case you'd prefer to make your own (for instance when that nagging dinner guest brings their own).
