Alternatively, the phil&teds dot is a brilliant single buggy from the beginning that can then easily adapt to take 2 (or 3!) in multiple configurations. This is especially helpful when you have a child in a car seat as the frame can be fitted with a wedgie for optimum lie-flat positioning, or car seat adapters for many brands.

Suspension

The suspension of a double 3 wheel buggy will determine how easily you and your child/children are able to push it. It is essential to enjoy a smooth ride as babies can feel every bump that comes along the road. This is particularly relevant if you drive on rough terrain like grass or unpaved roads. Certain models also have locking front wheels to help in maneuvering and navigating obstacles such as curbs.

Certain models have air-filled tyres that provide a fantastic all-terrain ride, but can be susceptible to punctures, so make sure you have spares in the trunk. Some models have gel or foam tyres that are specifically designed to handle bumps and are less prone to punctures, however, you might feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back if you decide to run.
