Remotes

Most seat alhambra key programming drivers keep a spare remote in the house or garage, but when they lose it getting replacement keys from a dealer is expensive and time consuming. This is because most dealers will programme the key using the car's computer which will need to be reset. However, many people buy second-hand keys off the internet that are not programmed to their car. This can be a much cheaper alternative to going to the dealer. But, these key will not start the car because they will not have a transponder chip inside them. You can see the chip (yellow) in this picture below, it is a Dual Inline Package or DIP 18 pin chip. There are also a diode, transistor and resonator, all these parts make up the key's circuit.

Immobilisers

The number of car thefts began to decline as car immobilisers became popular in the latter part of the 1990s. However, thieves are always looking for ways to get around security systems. They could get around the earlier immobiliser systems employing a scanner to find the transponder's chip, and then copying it onto an unlocked key, but since then, technology has improved and they've been forced to think of new methods.

Luckily, the majority of immobilisers we supply and fit are Thatcham Cat 2 approved. The Thatcham Research organisation has tested and certified them. This non-profit organisation is the grading and certification system for aftermarket alarms and security devices, which includes car immobilisers.

When the Thatcham approved system is activated it will send a signal coded to the Engine Management System (EMS) of the vehicle which prevents the motor from running without the proper key. If the car is "hot-wired" after entering it will stop the engine within 30 seconds and will make it impossible to start.

As with any computer it is possible that the immobiliser will have issues. Sometimes, the battery or key fob will require replacement. It is best to hire a professional do the work to ensure everything is installed correctly and is working.

Transponders

This helps to maintain a clear line between aircraft and identifies an aircraft to air traffic controllers when it is using an active radar system. The information that the transponder sends back varies according to the kind of system.

Transponders are also employed in space vehicles and satellites to communicate with Earth-based systems like cell phone networks and other networks for communication. These devices receive signals at various frequencies and then retransmit the signals on a different spectrum, similar to how repeaters in land-based cell phone networks function.

Advanced passive transponders can be found on aircrafts. They are used to monitor flight status and provide information about navigation including the aircraft's location as well as speed, altitude and the route. Transponders transmit information that air traffic controllers can utilize to control flight paths and ensure security.

Most airplanes have a switch on the flight deck that enables pilots to turn on or off their transponders. They can also choose an "ident" mode that allows the transponder's unique squawk number and help it stand out on an air traffic control screens.
