The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a budget and don't require a stroller which can also be used as a car seat carrier. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's easy to push, and it feels solid when you are walking along woodland paths and kerbs. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels, made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate across all types of surfaces and terrain'.

The base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and the 6+ month colour pack come together to make a stylish and elegant pushchair that is easy to look at with a subtle yet elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The frame's weight alone is just over a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for example snaps onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring way. It is machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months by using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents looking for an adaptable stroller. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be transformed from a stroller into an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best fit for their needs. The wagon can hold two or more children from 6 months to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This may not be suitable for long trips or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it doesn't bend as much as other wagons that we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely after folding. It is easy to maneuver however, and can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also comes with a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other key features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our push and turn test it performed better than most of the other cheap single stroller strollers we test, but it's not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopy sizes.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. It's lacking some features that we consider essential for double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is billed as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted with a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

The seat reclines with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to take their child in and out. The narrow pushchair sailed through every day bumps and doors easily.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward-facing position or swivel. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we allowed them to swivel and it handled this fairly well, although it seemed more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler pushchairs for jogging, but they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than the other strollers we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is easy to maneuver over different terrains and even with two kids as well as a shopping bag and other things.

The carrycot and the seat both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong unlike other prams' hoods which are whipped back into toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be used with the Baby Jogger car seat for babies up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

The brakes are simple to use using a single running stroller action, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

It's also super lightweight and sturdy. The seat is reclined in many positions and has a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't perfect because it's not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or be turned around to face parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling rivalries over who sits with dad and mom. It has a huge bottle holder, gear tray snack tray, and a change mat. It also comes with an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great stroller for parents who like to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers for running that you can buy for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, such as the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It comes with a different kind of hand brake that is different from other models, which is an interesting twist.

The seat is well padded and provides a wide area to sit. However the seat's depth is smaller than that of other runners (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin is equipped with an enclosed zipper to help keep things secure. It can hold 10 lbs., which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats as it comes, but you can use it from day one with the purchase of adapters for most seats by brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds up compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
