They're easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere in the globe. It also comes with many options for customization. It also gives you notifications when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in a few other GE fridges that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to pour out simultaneously. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water is left but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Designed to look as a seamless element of your kitchen Bosch's French-door refrigerator looks seamless and is one of a kind. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that helps keep vegetables and fruits fresher longer, and two compressors for maximum preservation of food. The ice maker we tested was one of the most efficient and produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This fridge is the perfect option for households with a single member or kitchenettes who want a sleek design and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and never moving more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial to avoiding freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the refrigerator also performed well. It reached the initial temperature within an hour, and remained at the temperature throughout our tests.

Bosch has a reputation for top-of-the-line appliances, so it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app lets you monitor and control your fridge remotely from your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive and has great features and functions at a fair price.

It is crucial to be aware of the limitations of the fridge. It has a narrow shelf space, so you may need to be creative when storing tall objects. Also the shelves aren't sprillproof and can be easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays can be easily removed from the fridge. However, they must be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The top shelf on the right can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the ice when needed. The freezer also comes with innovative design features such as sliding drawers that can help you organize your items. It also has a huge bin that holds plenty of frozen food items as well as an additional storage bin for ice.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than some of the others we test. This could be due to the larger capacity.

Another issue with the door of this refrigerator. The handles that are sunken let shorter people open them from the bottom. However taller people will have a hard time closing them without slamming them. It would have been better if they had a front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those looking to combine the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with more efficient design. It has a capacity that is higher than average for counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also a little less than the best counter depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which makes it a desirable option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
