What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no gameplay benefit other than making it easier to buy upgrades.

Boosts

Costs

There are some costs associated with item upgrades. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. This price is contingent on the new ilvl of the item and the number of perks it receives and can be costly. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.

The other is the cost of the materials needed for an upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. These items can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the item's new ilvl bonuses, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other important statistics. In certain cases an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are listed on a list.
