Item UpgradesItem upgrades are a key element of enhancing your character. Upgrades increase item damage and enchantments.
They also offer rewards and upgrades. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapons
If a weapon is upgraded, it will gain an initial damage bonus as well as a scaling factor which affects other stats. The weapon can also gain a number of upgrade components that provide additional features or effects as well as unique cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an
upgrade item slot that is available and meet certain specifications. The upgrade component can be removed from the weapon, armor, or trinket, but it is not replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be recovered by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the
item level upgrade the
Best item upgrade.
In addition to the basic upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded by adding a Calibration Attribute that improves certain stats, such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This can be done through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. This can be done four times, based on weapon level.
Once the weapon is at max upgrade, it can be reforged using a variety of different types of upgrades to increase certain stats or add bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be applied at once, and their effects will differ based on how rare the weapon is.
Two Blacksmiths are able to perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both upgrade materials differ: Smithing Stones to modify the kind of damage weapon does and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.
In general, it is advised to improve weapon damage first, then armour defense, and then the other secondary stats as required by your build. In particular, it is common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon before they upgrade any other gear, as this will increase DPS. This is particularly applicable to enchantments, which are extremely effective in boosting a weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item upgrades allow players to improve the base stats of certain armor pieces weapons, trinkets, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also bring additional effects, like an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancement.
Item Upgrades are available by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, or in loot drops or as rewards for quests.
Armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. The majority of armor upgrades to the next level after an upgrade. This is possible for most types of armor, though some items cannot be upgraded at all (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island).

Certain upgrades offer special abilities which can be activated when wearing armor. These abilities can be helpful in combat, such as giving a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades can have effect that are passive and can be useful for example, reducing damage while wearing armor or increasing the chance of avoiding an attack.
Depending on the type of armor, upgrading an item can require multiple tries. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with an armor base defense of 59-67. The second attempt will result in a Dragonscale armor with a base defense of between 67 and 77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do this players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains found in the game. Each of these locations is home to an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular belief, armor is not useless in The Division 2. The reality is that some armors come with very substantial enhancements to poison or curse, fire, or magic damage reduction, which makes them extremely useful for certain builds. There are many other ways to improve armor stats besides upgrading armor, such as using the engineer trait to increase armor penetrating or the challenger trait to decrease the total weight.
Potion
By placing a potion on a stand for brewing, you will be able to unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a different tier of potion effects, and is able to be repeated to unlock more potencies.
The potion also has a custom color code, which the player can choose using /give and which alters the area-of-effect clouds and arrows generated by the potions. In Bedrock Edition, the custom potion color also applies to the effects of the particles in the potions.
The water bottle, mundane potions that are thick and awkward now have a brand new texture for brewing. The potion of weakness was added to the healing potion to the Creative inventory. The addition of lingering potions which can be made with splash potions or Dragon breath. Also added is a potent potion that has the status effect Mining Fatigue. Trinket
A trinket is an inexpensive, small ornament or piece jewelry. It can be a necklace or ring. It could also be a small banner used to mark the yard of a boat. It could also refer to a gilded trinket that is fixed to the mast of a boat.
This macabre trinket is believed to be influencing the residents of this maze which makes them more prevalent. At its current level it makes all kinds of mimic Xx more popular, and gives each floor a Y% chance to have an ebony mimic. This trinket requires a small amount of energy to upgrade.
The enchanted Scepter's magic appears to affect the dungeon, increasing its likelihood of generating water and grass. This trinket at the current level will cause X% of regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It does not affect enchantments, glyphs, cursed weapons or armor or items that are generated to solve danger rooms.
The item, which appears like a eyes of a nymph, seems to affect your vision in a manner that goes beyond simply narrowing your field of vision. This trinket, at the moment level, increases the health benefits of drinking potions of healing and wells of life by X% and also gives mind sight to enemies within Y tile. This does not stack with Heightened Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you've completed the Mastery Cave. You can find them by defeating Monsters and chests and crates. They are not in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
If you have a trinket that needs to be upgraded then place it in the Anvil to do so. This will have an unpredictable impact on the trinket either extending its lifespan or strengthening its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as many times as you'd like, but it will always have the same effect.
You can also enhance your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst at the Alchemy Station. This will cost you 6 energy, but increase the power of the trinkets by a tiny amount.
