Best Lightweight Single Stroller

Travel strollers aren't any smaller or lighter than this one. Its sleek design allows it to fold into a chic rectangle shape and the wheels are a lot easier to turn than others.

It also comes with a huge under-seat storage area as well as an arm-strap that makes it easy to lug around when not pushing it. But the canopy adjuster can create lots of noise which could wake a sleepy toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its size. The back basket under the seat is spring loaded, which means you can pull it down to put bags for diapers or backpacks in and it will pop up to secure the contents. It also comes with an accessory tray for children and an adjustable reclining seat back pad that offer more options than you normally get on a stroller that is light.

It also has a canopy that can be closed and opened to achieve the sun protection level you want. The handlebars can be adjusted in height to ensure a comfortable fit in four different positions. However, we weren't impressed by the quality of its ride over rough terrain. We felt the suspension and wheels didn't do a very good job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

The stroller is perfect for travel since it is fully assembled in the box. It requires only a few simple steps to make it ready for use. The seat can be pushed forward and backward to adjust the recline which is essentially flat. Two buttons on the frame allow it to fold and unfold. It also fits into the perfect carrying bag when it's not in use. It's actually one of the most compact strollers we tested and it easily can meet the requirements of many airlines for gate-checking, or cabin storage, on airplanes. Just be sure to consult with your airline prior to you fly, because rules can differ. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This is a great option for those who are looking for a stroller that is lightweight. It has all of the features parents look for in a stroller. It comes with all-terrain tires and front suspension for an easy ride. It's also extremely light with a weight of less than 12 pounds. It can be folded by one hand, and then stand up on its own. It has two cups holders on each tray to accommodate parents and children.

Its quality, though it is on the low side and it didn't fare well in our maneuverability tests. It also has a swivel frame that makes pushing it over rough terrain seem like lifting a huge weight. It might be okay if you only use the stroller on paved sidewalks. However, for most people, it's not a good choice.

The Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy as well as a peek-a-boo window for added sun protection. The seat is multi-position and can hold children up 50 pounds and features a five-point safety restraint. This is a great choice for older toddlers who have outgrown their infant car seats.

It has a one-step and compact folding mechanism that can be collapsed with only a click of the button. It also comes with an easy, foot-activated break that is simple to set up and release.

However, the handle is lower than other strollers we looked at and some parents may be uncomfortable for long periods of time. The handle is secured in place when it's opened. This is an excellent feature to use the stroller on uneven or muddy terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the ideal stroller for parents who are constantly moving. This ultra-compact single stroller stroller is easy to fold down and up and easily fits in overhead compartments on planes, as well as in trunks at the amusement park (no need to worry about parking fees). It comes with a carrying bag which zips up for easy storage. It can be used right from birth using the infant car seat adapter, and provides a decent amount of coverage in the sun by way of its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside is that some parents consider the design to be a bit utilitarian and expensive.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a little more expensive than other lightweight Single Pushchair sale strollers however it was made specifically for luxurious urban and travel. It is among the most easy strollers to fold and comes with a convenient carry case. It is packed with storage space, including a cupholder. The seat reclines to almost flat for both the child and adult. This is the only stroller on our list that comes with a car seat adapter to allow it to be used with a newborn. Some parents with short legs may not appreciate the handlebar that doesn't adjust.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, however it comes with a number of great features to make traveling with children easier. The large seat reclines to an upright position and comes with additional padding to make those airplane napping sessions more comfortable. The canopy that extends can provide excellent sun protection, and the tray is spacious with plenty of storage. It also has an adjustable handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. The footrest, however, appears to be prone to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy's Minu V2 is a premium stroller that doesn't skimp on quality and design. Its compact design allows it to easily navigate through narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its sturdy construction allows it to handle rough terrain without compromising comfort of your child. Front and rear spring-action suspensions provide a noticeably more comfortable ride for both of you, and its robust materials ensure that it will hold up to the wear and tear of everyday life without losing its shape. Additionally it can be enlarged to accommodate additional items such as a bassinet or infant car seat.

Even with a baby in the mix, the Minu was very easy to fold and maneuver. Its squat almost square fold that folds into thirds, is among the most straightforward in our tests and allows it to be tucked away in overhead compartments of planes or in public transportation. It also has an automated brake with a color coded single buggy with buggy board-action that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in a variety of positions and the leg rest can be adjusted with one hand, making it easy to determine your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ hood came down quite a ways, which was great for protecting Cora's eyes from the sun (though not quite as low as other strollers). There's also a medium-sized mesh peek-aboo window that closes magnetically and adheres to the canopy rather than using noisy Velcro.

At less than 15 pounds At just under 15 pounds, the Minu is a breeze to carry thanks to its built-in handle and shoulder strap. It can also be put in the trunk of your car, and it comes with a storage bag as well as access to the Uppababy TravelSafe program which adds two years onto the manufacturer's warranty. It also covers repairs for any items damaged during travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is a well-known brand that produces various strollers. This light model is a good choice for parents who are looking for an all-purpose stroller that can carry children around, provides ample storage, is fairly simple to use and doesn't require an engineering degree to fold. It's not the best choice when you're looking for a car seat-compatible model or a double stroller, however. It won't work with infant car seats, and your children must be able to sit up on their own before you can use this stroller from day one.

This stroller is loaded with features and is offered at a very affordable price. It scored a higher rating in our review of maneuverability than other models with similar specs, and is a great option for smooth surfaces. It also has a nice canopy and plenty of storage space, including a spacious parent tray. The handlebar is shorter than the average, and the front wheel suspension is stiffer, but it is still comfortable for adults.

If you have twins or two children with different ages, you might consider a stroller that is side-by-side is the best option to get them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove. It has a lot of features and a small footprint that allows it to fit in places that other side-by-side strollers can't.

It has a large canopy that has a peek-aboo view and plenty of storage. It's heavier than the other side-bysides but it has a reasonable capacity and weight limit. It can carry most kids up to 50 pounds. You can add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller for newborns.

If you're looking for a more luxurious version this stroller, the Caboose RS Sit and Stand Stroller is an excellent alternative. It comes with the same great features as the model above and can be fitted with a bassinet to allow you to bring your baby home from the hospital with fashion.
