1. Engine Speed Sensor

The sensor serves as a reference to correlate with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu must know when the crankshaft reached TDC and also the location of the camshaft in order to activate the spark and injectors.

If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error message. This indicates that the Crank Shaft is out of alignment with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate a chain stretch or a jumped chain link in the upper timing chain. The code will not appear without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).

It's a bit tricky to test as there are various connector pins, and they all have different functions. The best way to do it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. 2. Injectors

Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at full speed I noticed a massive drop in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, 3 were soaked in gasoline, and the fourth was dry. When I crank the engine, there are no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th stay shut. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I get zero ohm. I'm assuming that the issue is somewhere else.

I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car is able to start when the G28 is disconnected and runs fine when it is plugged in, but still has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when unplugged, still shows temperatures of -49c. Also i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 when i rev the engine.

I don't know what to do. I believe that I've all other possibilities out. However, i'm afraid that i might have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please chime in! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump
