A06L

Based on the popular A06 Freedom Chair, this model is heavy-duty and designed to be able to accommodate people who weigh up to 25 stone/160kg. The chair comes with two 300 watt motors that can allow you to move at speeds of up to 4mph. It has a range up to 9miles from a single battery.

When not in use it is light and compact. It is easy to move and store. This makes it perfect for those who need to travel with their chair by car, plane or cruise ship as it can easily fit into the cabin. It also has airline-approved lithium-ion batteries and an adaptor cable for off-board charging.

The powerchair can be controlled with the joystick that is mounted on either armrest. It can be used left- or right-handed. The footplate flips up to allow for easy transfers, and the tyres have a 12" all-terrain rubber to tackle more difficult terrain.

There is plenty of room to store personal items in the handy under-seat pouch and the zippered pockets that are fixed on the seatback. To ensure safety for the user, there are electromagnetic brakes and an adjustable lap belt.

The Freedom A06L is easily manoeuvrable and more compact than a mobility scooter, so it can maneuver around narrow spaces like shopping centers or lifts. It can climb slopes that can be as high as 8 percent. A kerb climber option is available so you can traverse an incline or ramp without requiring assistance. The chair also comes with an horn, as well as cushions that can be removed from the back and seat for easy cleaning. It also comes with a swivel Captain's Seat with adjustable arm rests. This model is equipped with a single battery, however you can add a second or third to increase the range up to 18 or 27 miles. This is more than enough for the majority of everyday activities and the powerchair can be used to travel abroad since it is made to meet international regulations power chairs for disabled carry-on luggage on flights. The storage compartment in the under seat is perfect to store everything you own. The controls can be adjusted to fit either left- or right-handed users. For added safety there is an emergency brake with a manual lever and an additional seat belt for peace of mind.
